Valentine's Day and Wrestling Update

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you. Not sending Valentine cards same as Christmas. Not enough time.
Took some Valentine pictures and had some fun on the computer with them. Of course there are the granddaughters. Took some of my cousin's kids and played with them. Lots of fun going on that snowy day.
Adam goes to the Spelling Bee to represent his class tomorrow at Eagleville.
Jacob won 2nd in districts yesterday at Cameron so we are headed for state wrestling this week. They head to Columbia on Wed. and the first round is on Thurs. Of course we will be following along. The wrestling is on Thurs, Fri, with the medal matches on Sat. (I'll update blog in the next week or so to let you know how that turns out)
South Harrison had a very good showing with 3 of our 6 wrestlers advancing to state. Even though the other 3 wrestlers didn't make it to state they all had a good season. They received 8th place at districts, where there was 13 teams. And this wasn't the first time this team had done that! The 2007-08 wrestlers are: Zach Wilson, Garrett Lowe, Jacob King, Matt Meissen, Charlie Bloss, Kameron McFall and JV Brady Sunderland. Coaches were: Todd Pigonot and Jerry Price. For a group of 6 boys going against teams that had every weight class filled this is quite an accomplishment. Even though these boys were low in numbers they were very long in heart. Their outstanding sportsmanship shined high with the teams we seen on a regular basis. I am proud to have gotten to see them have such a great season. All of these kids get to be "your kids" when it is time to holler for them to "Go, Go, Go" and to yell........."way to go" with every win or "good job" with the loses.
I will update after the state wrestling some time after we get home and recover! Hopefully we will be bringing home some more medals.
