I can't believe we are starting a new year. So much has happened in the past year. We have been blessed with 2 beautiful granddaughters. (Yes, I still love pink, ruffles and lace!)
Tyler got to come home for Grpa's funeral so we got to have some Christmas time with him which was a blessing we were not expecting. Unfortunately Dustin's were not able to come up due to the weather. Speaking of which we've not seen much of Jeff either due to the weather. He has had 3 days off (I think) since Dec. 2. We see him coming and going. He and his MODOT guys deserve alot of credit for keeping our highways clear.
Dustin's came up Christmas eve day and we had Christmas with them then went to my Mom's for our annual Christmas eve. On the Sunday before we went to Jeff's moms for lunch. Jeff actually got to come and have lunch with us then he had to go back to work. On Christmas Day, Jeff, Adam, Jacob and I slept in then had breakfast and our Christmas. At lunch time we went to my Grma Rinehart's (she's 92 and still has Christmas at her house). Not sure how many of us were there but know if you got up there was a good chance you would loose your chair. The food and company was great as always.
I got to go to Crown Center with my granddaughters to see Santa on the Friday before the big guy was to come. We had to wait in line and the girls were so good. Then when they sat on his lap they both cried. But they looked adorable in their Christmas dresses!
The girls were lots of fun and enjoyed their Christmas. They liked their baby dolls and books but their favorites seemed to be the rubber ducks that lite up!
For all of you reading this......I didn't get around to Christmas cards this year so hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a Blessed New Year!
